Togiak Brown Bear Hunt

Our trophy brown bear hunts take place in the Togiak Wildlife Refuge near Dillingham, Alaska. The Togiak Refuge encompasses over 4 million acres the best trophy brown bear habitat on earth! Because its status as a federal refuge, outfitters must go through a rigorous application process in order to outfit there. Upon selection of a unit, the outfitter is awarded exclusive rights to that area. Peterson’s Bristol Bay Outfitters is permitted to guide 6 brown bear hunters per year in our exclusive area consisting of nearly a 1,000,000,00 acres. Bears average over 9 feet with even larger bears taken every year. We offer both spring and fall hunts.

All of our hunts are spike camp based. This allows us to be flexible in terms of areas we hunt. Because of our unique location during fall hunts we also have the option to utilize Zodiacs on many of the salmon filled lakes in our guide area.  This advantage has allowed our clients who are in less than perfect physical condition the opportunity to cover way more ground than if they had to travel by foot alone.

Over the last 5 years Peterson’s Bristol Bay Outfitters clients  success for this hunt has been close to 100% success.
